hey! i just wanted to say thank you to all of my new followers, you guys rock! and also, i am officially an intern for moxie events (previously shelle’ weddings & events) here in eugene! this is going to be an amazing opportunity, and my duties will include:

writing wedding related blog articles for their website

shadowing them at weddings and events

attending client meetings

doing wedding-related research

researching advertising opportunities for them

…and more!

this is perfect for me as a communications major and aspiring wedding planner!!! and they are just beginning to go through re-branding and everything, so it will be great experience for me since i plan to own my own business one day. YAY! i am also excited to post a bit about it on here so you guys can follow along on my journey :)

i am going to be meeting with a woman this weekend who owns a local wedding planning company about doing an internship with her!! and the internship also involves writing wedding-related blog entries for their website… oh my goodness. i am so, so excited about this!

I am hoping to find an internship with a wedding planner/coordinator for the winter/spring. It’s a graduation requirement at my college to complete an internship… and its supposed to relate to our major/career choice. So I am really hoping it works out! The thing is, there aren’t a ton of wedding planning agencies around here… most of them are just individuals and I don’t know if they’d be able to offer me an internship/job shadow opportunity. But we will see. It would be so much fun! Hopefully something works out :)
